Families looking for a fun way to get outside this fall can join Outdoor Adventures, a series of nature-based classes for children happening at Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Outdoor Adventures will meet Sundays and Wednesdays in November from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The program gives children an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, explore nature, get creative, and spend time learning through play.
Each class will include a variety of hands-on activities designed to encourage children to interact with the natural world around them. Activities may include outdoor child-led play, arts and crafts, nature exploration, and water activities. Rather than spending the morning sitting at a desk, kids can move, investigate, create, and discover while enjoying one of Springfield’s best-known parks.
The program is led by Leader Mike and is a great option for local homeschool families, families with flexible schedules, or anyone looking to add more outdoor time to their child’s week as the weather gets cooler.
Classes are held at Forest Park in Springfield and cost $20 per class. Registration is required.
